    A representative of “pure pressure,” which used its speed and endurance to create constant pressure on opponents.
  • Push to Exit (amateur leagues in Europe)
    Effective in small arenas, where fast acceleration and a strong drivetrain often decided the victory.

How to build your own pusher?

Step 1: Choose a suitable chassis

  • Ideally a four-wheel or tracked drive
  • A large contact area for better grip

Step 2: Use a strong frame

  • An aluminum skeleton with steel or polycarbonate armor
  • Minimal gaps – the opponent must not be able to get “inside”

Step 3: Design the pushing part

  • A low, wide wedge with a sharp edge
  • The option to swap or angle it depending on the type of opponent

Step 4: Fine-tune the drivetrain and steering

  • Choosing suitable motors and gearing
  • Precise control – often via an RC system or a custom microcontroller

Pusher in competitions – how to approach tactics?

  1. Fast start – the goal is to reach the opponent before they can activate their weapon.
  2. Side attacks – most robots have weaknesses on their sides.
  3. Control the center of the arena – the pusher maintains an advantageous position and forces the opponent into mistakes.
