What is a lifter?

Lifter is a type of combat robot focused on vertical manipulation of the opponent. Its main weapon is a lifting arm, lever, or flipping mechanism, which it uses to raise, destabilize, or flip the opponent. Lifters often use mechanics similar to flippers, but their strength lies in controlled, more fluid motion rather than a sudden burst of energy.

While a flipper “launches” the opponent, a lifter raises it and strategically places it wherever it wants. In the arena, this is the type of robot that prides itself on precision, tactics, and control.

How to build your own lifter?

  • A wedge-shaped front for better access under the opponent
  • Wheels protected against being lifted and deflected
